Shira Ashkenas
PRACTICE MANAGER AND MOVEMENT TEACHER
About Shira
I am a Clinical Nutritionist with a Bachelors of Health Science in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics. I love working with mammas on every step of their health journey from pre conception, pregnancy, post-partum , breastfeeding, and beyond.
I take a holistic approach to nutrition and build individualized plans to maximize nutrient intake, rest, exercise and building community; all based on where you are on your path to feeling your best during the, *sometimes,* challenging transition into parenthood.
CORE VALUES
Compassion, Empathy, Kindness, & Honesty
What is it like to work with me?
I love to listen. When I am with my patients or students, I am there to listen to their needs and goals as I put all the pieces of the puzzle together to help you. We work together as a team to tailor a plan that works for YOU. Living a healthier lifestyle doesn’t have to be complicated, strict or expensive, we just need to build a foundation for healthy habits.
Why this work?
After living abroad for 17 years, far from my family, I learned firsthand how much it “takes a village “ when it comes to raising a family. Now that my husband, two kiddos and I have moved to Stamford to be closer to our family, I am passionate about mothers finding their village, being able to ask for help and never feeling alone during this crucial period of parenting.
