Jessica Vanderberg
C0-FOUNDER & CLINICAL DIRECTOR
About Jessica
I’m a social worker, full-spectrum doula, educator, and mother.
I weave these skills together to support you as you navigate the many choices from preconception into parenting.
I specialize in working with parents as they set their course through the beautiful and challenging landscape that is parenthood. The collision of physiological, emotional, and mental transitions can be profound and overwhelming. If I’ve done my job well, you’ll leave my office feeling little bit lighter.
CORE VALUES
Grace, Humor, Curiosity, Collaboration, & Repair
What is it like to work with me?
Our time together will be very conversational. I use an eclectic approach that includes several psychodynamic practices like emotionally focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and somatic experiencing - all with a trauma informed lens.
My goal is to make you feel safe, supported, connected, and comforted. I will hear you and validate your unique experience.
Why this work?
I became a doula to fill the emotional support gaps needed for birthing people and their partners.
I became a social worker to address the lack of access to mental health care in the reproductive years - care so many of us needed and couldn’t find.
